Question:
I have a lippert power jack, looks like the Item # LC285318. it has just stopped working, the LEDs work but the jack doesnt work. I did have a problem blowing the 30 amp fuses last season but that isnt the problem this time. By batteries are fully charged and we are plugged into 110. This is the first time testing this season as well. Any ideas?

The problem you are describing on your Lippert Electric Trailer Jack part # LC285318 could be caused by a few different things. The most common problem we see that allows the light to work but not the leg is a bad ground. This could very well still allow for the light to function but not allow for enough power to operate the leg. I recommend checking the mounting surface that the jack is attached to since this is how it grounds. I would then remove the jack, sand down the surface with some sandpaper, and clean off the hardware with some parts cleaner.
If the newly finished ground does not fix the problem then you will want to take the top cap off of the jack and have a look inside while the power is supplied. If you hear any noise then it is likely that something has become loose or broken. If the jack was ever overextended then this could very well cause the problem you are having. If you do not hear any noise then chances are the motor is bad.
If the motor is bad and or some of the internal components have become damaged then the only option you have would be to replace it as we do not have any replacement parts for this jack. For a replacement, I recommend the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR tongue jack. This jack has a 4,500 lb capacity which means that it will not have to work as hard which in turn extends its life. It also has an integrated stop that will not allow you to overextend the jack which could then cause damage.
I have attached a review video for you as well.
