Question:
Hi I’m after a tow bar for 2004 Honda CR-V

Expert Reply:
Tow bars are not vehicle specific except in terms of weight capacity but it is generally easiest to use a tow bar and base plate from the same maker since this avoids the hassle and expense of the adapters that are needed to join parts from different manufacturers.
If you do not have base plates already you'll probably want to make that selection before choosing a tow bar. We have base plates for your 2004 Honda CR-V shown on the linked page. We have models that will work with or without the brush guard.
If you have (or choose) the Roadmaster XL base plates # 1541-1 (for no brush guard) or the MX kit # 1541-5 (if you DO have the brush guard) then you can use the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain tow bar # RM-522.
I included a few helpful articles on flat towing that will outline and give you detailed information on all the items needed to safely and legally flat tow. I will be happy to help you select the other components if you need any; these include lighting/wiring kits like # RM-15267, braking systems like the Patriot # BLU37TR and safety cables like # RM-645.

Is the mounting linkage on a Reese Class 2 hitch from Walmart compatible with the Roadmaster 1541-1 Baseplate. I have a 2004 Honda CR-V.
