Question:

I have a 2014 Honda crv I want to flat tow with blue ox setup. Do I need anything for the power steering so it can work off the Rv battery?

Hey Steve! I checked the flat towing set up and required parts for your 2014 Honda CR-V and you don't need a charge line like item # RM-156-25 because you don't disconnect your battery.

Here are the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow your 2014 Honda CR-V:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates item # e47ZR

Base Plate Kit - Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BX2258

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267

Fuse Disconnect - Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles item # RM76511

Supplemental Braking System - Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # BLU37TR

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.

Then what keeps the battery from depleting while being used by power steering and the brake system?

@SteveS Situations like these they expect the battery not to die before you get to where you're going. You can add a charge line though item # RM-156-25
