Will the Prodigy RF Brake Controller Work with a 2018 Toyota Tundra with Factory Brake Controller
Published 06/05/2018 >
Question:
I want to replace my faulty integrated brake controller in a 2018 Tundra with P3. But since there is no available wiring harness for the P3 this RF brake controller is my next option. Besides buying this unit, what else do I need to be able to this it? It says I need a 12 volt power for the box. Does connecting unit to the Tundra 7 way/pin connector provide the 12 volt power it needed?

The Prodigy RF # TK94FR will get the power it needs through the 12 volt circuit in the 7-Way trailer connector on your 2018 Toyota Tundra. As long as 12 volt circuit and left and right turn signal/brake light circuits on the 7-Way work the Prodigy RF will work!
However you may need to put some electrical tape around the pin in the 5 o'clock position on the truck's 7-Way (if looking at the face of it) if the factory brake controller causes any interference with the RF or vice versa.
