Can the Prodigy RF Brake Controller be Plugged into an F-150 that has a Brake Controller
Updated 09/10/2018 | Published 09/09/2018 >
Question:
The wireless controller works great in my gle350 and installation and pairing was a breeze. I did pair it with a f-150 that had conventional tail lights. My question is,if I use the trailer with my f-150 that has a conventional brake controller, can i still plug in the prodigy, or do I unplug the trailer plug and plug it into the f-150. Will the prodigy be damaged if it is plugged into a system with a brake controller?

What I recommend when using the Prodigy RF # TK94FR with your F-150 that already has a brake controller is to simply unplug the in-cab controller from the truck. That way there is no way that they can interfere with each other.
The other option is to plug the trailer directly into the truck and use the truck's brake controller instead of the RF. Either way is acceptable.
