Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2003 Chevy S-10 Pickup

Question:

OI found a plug under the back of my s10 that has a cover on it and it looks like a plug for a diagnostics. The truck has a hole in the bumper for a ball is this a trailer plug if so where do I get a adapter harness for a trailer

We have a few custom-fit trailer wiring harnesses available that are confirmed to fit your 2003 Chevy S-10 pickup, all of which install by plugging into the same factory port that should be located at the rear of the truck, inside the the driver's side frame rail. If this is where you found the plug that you described in your question, and it looks like the plug that is on the image I have attached, then this is indeed where an aftermarket harness will plug into.

For this, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Harness # 118359. After plugging the harness into the mentioned port on your truck, you will have a 4-Way flat to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights. I have attached an installation video that you can also use for reference.
