Best Locking Hitch Pin for a 3 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver

Question:

I am looking for a locking hitch pin for a 3inch hitch. The only one I can find on your site is the one made by Weigh Safe. I have their hitch now and it is quality but the hitch pin looks a little light weight. Do you have any other products that fit my need. I started to look but after 20+ pages using the search feature on site and not finding what I was looking for I thought Id send this note. Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.

Yes, the Bulldog Hitch Receiver Lock part # BD580412 is a locking hitch pin that will fit the 3" trailer hitch receiver on your 2017 Ford F-350. This hitch pin has a dual self-locking design with a flush look. It is constructed of stainless steel and is 5/8" in diameter. The included dust cap will help keep the lock core free of dirt and debris.

This is currently the only locking hitch pin we offer that will fit a 3" trailer hitch receiver for the exception of the Weigh Safe Hitch Receiver Lock part # WS05. I have attached a review video on the Bulldog Hitch Receiver Lock for you as well.

I have a 3" receiver hitch on my Ram Pickup and it takes a 1/2" pin that needs to be 4 to 4 1/2" in length to able to use the lock.

Are you sure that the hitch pin hole on your receiver has a 1/2" diameter? This smaller size is typically only used on 1-1/4" receivers, so it would be pretty odd on a 3" hitch. The best option have available in the needed length is the 4" long # BD580412, which has a 5/8" diameter, so I recommend verifying that measurement once more.
