Question:
I own a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali turbo diesel w/ Allison trans and Duramax eng. I’d like to see what my options are for this larger sized diameter tow hitch. Thinking about towing somewhere in the lines of 15k lbs max. I know the truck is rated at 17k max but I’m not going to push its limits to see if GM did their homework lol. Can you fwd me any and all options for sleeves, downs, bal sizes, any configuration necessary for a simple hassle free enjoyable tow. Links would be great as I can just click and purchase. Also wondering what size tow light kits preferably LED near the hitch area are available. Thank you.

Based on your question, I assume you have the 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. There are many options available to assist with your desired towing weight, but there is one that I recommend above the others for ease of use and function at that capacity.
I recommend the Curt Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # C45902. This ball mount accommodates up to a 5-1/4 inch rise or up to a 6 inch drop. It adjusts in 1 inch increments and has both a 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch ball. To secure your investment, I also recommend the lock set # C23556.
For your lighted kit, I recommend the GMC LED Lighted Trailer Hitch Cover # CR-007G along with the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve - 2-1/2" to 2" # C45405.
