No parts are more critical for the dependable performance of your trailer than the bearings, races, and seals. To ensure that your trailer performs reliably, you should inspect the bearings, races, and seals and repack the bearings every 12 months or 12,000 miles. If it has been past that time frame, there is a good chance that you will need a new bearing kt.
If you decide to replace your bearings, I will be happy to help you choose a kit. I will need to know the weight capacity of your axle. Also, If you are able to get the bearing numbers that are printed on the outside of the inner and outer bearing of each hub, that will help me recommend the correct bearing kit for you.
If you are unable to read the numbers from the bearings, use a digital caliper like # PTW80157 and take some measurements of your spindle for me. Getting you the right bearing sizes is extremely important for your trailer to function properly. Please see picture for measurement assistance.
