Question:
thank you for the information. The only follow-up question I have is, I want to keep the 4 1/2 inch drop to keep my trailer level. As you aware, the shank that comes with the system does not have this amount of drop, I will have to purchase a separate shank. Which shank would provide me with 4 1/2 drop with the trunnion bar system?

One of the major differences between a round bar system and a Trunnion bar system is if ground clearance is an issue, you may be better off choosing a Trunnion-bar system simply because these bars slide into the weight distribution head instead of inserting into it from the bottom, thus maintaining a more streamline system. The round-style spring bars slide up into the head and are held in place with clips.
The round bar on # FA94-00-0600 extends about 2-1/2 inches below the weight distribution head, while the trunnion bar # FA92-00-0600 does not extend below the weight distribution head at all, as you can see in the side-by-side photo I edited for you.
This is why we recommend folks that have vehicles with low ground clearance like minivans and compact trucks go with a trunnion bar system # FA92-00-0600.
The shank length on # FA94-00-0600 is 12". The maximum rise is 6-3/8" from top of the hitch receiver opening. The maximum drop is 1-5/8" from the top of hitch receiver opening.
The shank length on # FA92-00-0600 is 12". The maximum rise is 6" and maximum drop is 1".
If you don't have a hitch ball, 2" Hitch Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems # EQ91-00-6080 is recommended.
