I spoke with my contact regarding your Kwikee 39 Series (model 909506000) step assembly. He stated that the Motor Conversion/Upgrade Kit # LC379145 you referenced is actually not compatible with your particular Series 39 assembly.
You will instead need to use the Lippert Replacement Kit # LC379769. This kit will work perfectly with your steps and includes the IMGL (integrated motor/gearbox/linkage) and the 9510 Control Unit.
