This hitch dose not fit my 2017 Jeep Compass it dose not fit between the rail it is the wrong hitch

I checked your order notes and you ordered the Curt Hitch part # C13081 for your 2017 Jeep Compass which is listed as a confirmed fit if you have the OLD body style. It sounds like you have the NEW body style Compass which requires the part # C13363 instead.
New Body Style models will have the letter T as the 11th character in the VIN. I'd check that first and we can go from there but I am fairly certain it's a body style issue. Old body style will have the letter D instead.
