Will Tow Mirrors for 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 Scratch Mirror Housing
Updated 05/03/2018 | Published 05/02/2018 >
Question:
Hi do these clips scratch the factory mirror housing? I only plan on using them while towing so they will be on and off several times a year. I like the compact design of these but I am questioning the clips scratching and even possibly breaking after several times of instal/uninstall. The slip on mirrors are quite to big for my needs so just wondering some thoughts from experience. Thanks.

It's somewhat difficult to see in the product pictures, but the K-Source towing mirrors part # KS80910 that you referenced has pads that line the mirrors so that the portion of it that touches your truck mirror won't get sctratched.
What I'd recommend you do is ensure you keep the mirrors of your truck and the tow mirrors clean and you won't have any scratching.
