7-Way Extension Recommendation for Towing Camper with Short 7-Way Harness
Updated 04/26/2018 | Published 04/25/2018 >
Question:
Hello We recently purchased a pop up camper and the location of where the wiring harness from the camper plugs into our tow vehicles wiring means that the cable is just barely long enough. If we do sharp right turns the cable pops out. We dont really want to get a custom cable made for the camper and wondered if this extension cable will be the correct fix? If so, are there any shorter versions of this product? We really only need another 6 inches to be sure it wont continue to pop out on those corners. Neither my husband or I are very handy so we prefer a plug and play type of cable which is why I looked at this product. Any advice you have would be great! Thanks very much.

Since you have a 7-way trailer connector on both your tow vehicle and trailer the best solution will be the part # TLW6024. This is 24 inches long (shortest we offer) but more importantly it has the correct connector styles for attaching to both your vehicle and trailer. The kit you mentioned has plugs on both ends and you'll need a plug on one end and a socket on the other.
