Location of Trailer Brake Controller Fuse on a 2015 Ford Explorer

Question:
I have a 2015 Ford Explorer Base Model. I had the dealership install the hitch and 4 way flat before purchase. I have already switched the 4 way to a 7 prong. There is wiring under the dash for the Ford Adapter for the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, but there is no fuse to power the brake controller nor does it allow for a fuse to just be added. What items would I need to provide power to the brake controller?

I took a look at an online version of the owner's manual for your 2015 Ford Explorer and found, on page 308, that the Passenger Compartment Fuse Panel has a fuse in the 31 position that is rated for 5A and is labeled "Trailer tow brake controller". I would start off by checking out this fuse to see if it needs to be added or replaced.
If that doesn't solve it then I do have some other things for you to check, but it would be really helpful for you to check that fuse first. After checking the fuse use a circuit tester # PTW2993 to test the 4 pins of the brake controller connector. Make sure one has constant power and one only receives power when you press your brake pedal.
Let me know if that fuse is installed but you are not getting power on at least 2 wires, and I can help you troubleshoot further.
