Question:

I have a BAKFLIP cover on my Chevrolet Silverado And I am interested in putting a bike rack on top of the cover. I was wondering if these rails could be hard mounted to the truck bed on top of the bed rails while still allowing the closure of the cover? Would the cross bars would be long enough to use as a bike rack

The tracks used with the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System w/ 2 Heavy-Duty Square Crossbars part # Y01-140B are only 2" wide. Therefore, you would need to measure how much space you have on top of your bed rail with your tonneau cover installed. As long as there is at least 2" then the above system would not interfere with the tonneau cover.

There are several different BAKFlip tonneau covers for your 2011 Chevrolet Silverado that mount both inside and on top of the bed rails therefore you will need to measure your bed rail's dimensions to see if space is available. The crossbars included with the above track system are 65" long which will be more than enough for your bikes.
