How to Make Sure that the Feet of the Saris Bones 3 # SA801BL Sit Properly on a 2018 Toyota Camry

Question:
We bought this 3 bike carrier from etrailer. We used it but noticed when we arrived at our destination that the top feet were not resting on the trunk. We tightened the upper straps and that helped, but we were wondering if you have any other tips for us. We carried two bikes, heaviest one close to the car, the second bike farthest from the car, with the middle spot left open. We have a 2018 Toyota Camry. Thanks.

When installing the Saris Bones 3 # SA801BL on your 2018 Toyota Camry the best way to tighten down the straps is to alternate a little at a time with each set of straps.
If you initially really tightened down the bottom straps then that would explain why your top straps were not as secure. You also need to make sure that the feet are oriented properly.
You can put your heavier bike in the spot nearest your car and the lighter bike at the spot furthest away, but bike manufacturers always recommend putting them next to each other in the spots closest to the vehicle. This keeps all of your weight closes to the bases and will help keep any movement from happening.
I have linked a review video for you to check out. If you skip to the 3:52 mark you can see how our installer alternates which straps he is tightening.
