Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2003 Ford E450 Chassis

Question:

I have a 2003 Ford E450 motorhome. Its a Gulfstream Ultra. My current hitch is 41inch from outside to outside. Like to know the heaviest duty hitch that is available. Hopefully you can help us out. Thank you

The Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Cast Center # 41945 is a confirmed fit for 2000 - 2003 Ford Van Full Size and may fit your chassis. I recommend checking the dimensions of the frame holes as this hitch's mounting holes are 38-1/2 inches on center. This hitch is rated for 1,500 lb tongue weight and 10,000 lbs towing. This hitch will be dependent on the chassis and will not work if it has been extended.

Your alternative if you don't have these holes is the Multi-Fit Motorhome Trailer Hitch, 24" - 46" wide # 5350 which is rated for 5,000 lbs towing and 500 lbs tongue weight. This will fit your motorhome and is a universal fit for your frame width that will require drilling for installation.
