Question:
I have a 2013 jx35 and Im looking at the Curt III trailer and the Draw Tite, I believe. Its mostly going to be for bike racks and such but eventually we will get a small trailer for hauling things. I think I read that the curt was not the best for adding a wiring harness to? Any guidance would be great!

Both the Draw-Tite Class IV Max Frame Round Tube Receiver Hitch # 76031 and the Curt Class III # C13126 referenced in your question are confirmed to fit your 2013 Infiniti JX35. Between the two models, I do recommend the Draw-Tite # 76031. The crosstube design on the Draw-Tite drops down as it extends to meet the receiver, which in turn exposes it a bit more under the rear bumper of your vehicle. This is simply going to provide more mounting space for which to mount a connector bracket for your wiring, especially when compared to the Curt hitch that features a crossbar that is essentially hidden when installed. I have attached a couple of images of the two hitches installed on your 2013 Infiniti JX35 so you can see exactly how they will look.
In addition to this, the Draw-Tite model is also a bit easier to install, as you will not need to trim any fascia like with the Curt. I have attached an installation video on your vehicle that you can use for reference.
Since you eventually want to do some towing, I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter Wiring Harness # C56190KIT to install a 4-Way connector to the rear of the vehicle. This is what will connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights. I have attached another installation video for this harness that you can check out. You can add the Mounting Bracket # 18144 to easily mount the connector to the hitch crosstube.
Then, in order to tow a trailer, you will also need a ball mount. I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best one for your setup, along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also included a couple articles on trailer towing that you might find helpful when that time comes.
