Will the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-468-469 Fit with Dexter 10" Hubs

Published 03/14/2018

Question:

I’m looking for the bearing kits for the hubs as well. The wheels are 6 lug and the hubs say dexter 10”, the axle tag reads dexter ez lube but everything else is too corroded to read. Can you help me identify these parts? If it helps, these axles have tang washers not cotter pins for the castellated nut. Thanks in advance.

Helpful Expert Reply:

From your description the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-468-469 is exactly what you need.

They fit with 10" hubs, are rated for a 3,500 lb axle, and they mount on a 4 bolt brake mounting flange with 2-7/8" spacing on center.

I have attached a review video for you to check out as well.

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles # 84656UC3-EZ, which is a 10" diameter hub and drum with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, uses the following bearings, races, and seals: Grease Seal - # RG06-050 Trailer Hub Bearing - # L44649 Trailer Hub Bearing - # L68149 Replacement Race for L44649 - # L44610 Replacement Race for L68149 - # L68111 If your hub and drum assemblies are looking a little rough it might just be better to replace the whole thing with the part number I mentioned above.
