Does this spindle tru74fr require a wear sleeve for the hub grease seal?

Hey Bill, no the 84 spindle part # TRU74FR does not require a wear sleeve of any type with the grease seal. Did you bend or damage a spindle?

Yes a previous owner damaged and bent a spindle so I guess it's time to fix it. Have to get a price to remove the old one and weld the new on. Then I will be ordering the spindle.

@Bill A welder that has jigs for axle spindles would be who you'll need to find. Also, if you get a price and its super high you might weigh that against just replacing the entire axle. Since it's a 3,500 lb axle the other pieces of info needed to pick out an axle is spring seat to spring seat dimension and hub face to hub face.

@JamesonC The axle I have is 2" square. Don't know if it is 3500lb. Hub face to hub face is 76 3/4. Spring to spring center is 54 1/2. Brake flange outside is 70 1/2. Spindle is welded on top of axle. Give me your best idea. Thanks

@Bill Square axles aren't standardized like round ones are in terms of size vs. capacity so it's harder to say. Best approach would be use spindle dimensions on what you have now where the bearings ride.
