Question:
My 2016 Silverado 2500 integrated brake controller does not operate the EOH brakes on a gooseneck trailer I recently purchased. But reading the QandA, it sounds like it should work.

The factory integrated brake controllers are notorious for not working as well with Electric Over Hydraulic systems. They claim they work, but more often than not, there is an adapter needed for proper function. You can either use an adapter like the HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Adapter Module for Ford and Chevy Brake Controllers # HBA-CAM or use an aftermarket brake controller like # 90195 with wiring harness # 3016. Choosing to use an aftermarket brake controller will require having your computer flashed so that your vehicle doesn't throw codes. It needs to be told there isn't a factory brake controller installed for proper function, but you will actually have a lot more control with a brake controller upgrade than just an adapter.
Either option will make your 2016 Silverado 2500 function correctly with your gooseneck trailer.
