Question:
I Have a 2002 Ford F450 with a 12foot stake body. I am going to install a hitch. My question is a recommended pairing of wire harness. Controller and wiring socket to run 12 feet to back of the truck. thank you

For the weight capacity and ease of installation, I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class V # 41947. This hitch is a confirmed fit for your vehicle.
For your wiring harness, I recommend the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit with Circuit Tester # 18252 which will splice into your current tail lights. Then you will need # 10-2-1 sold by the foot to reach the factory run wires along the rear frame rail along with the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 7-Blade # HM47200. I also recommend mounting bracket # PK12711U and # 18140.
Then you will use a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 which is a favorite due to the LCD screen and preset functions and wiring harness # 3035-P. This connecter is plug and play.
