2014 Dodge Durango 7-Way Trailer Wiring Recommendation
Updated 02/26/2018 | Published 02/25/2018 >
Question:
Hi, I recently installed a hit receiver to my 2014 Dodge Durango Citadel, it was already wired from the factory so all I did was to buy a 7pin plug for the outside of the bumper. I tested The plug and I have power coming to it but The breaklights don’t work and neither the turn signals. I check the fuses and they’re fine but When I remove the fuse and test the prongs I have no power there. I’m not sure what I’m missing to complete the circuit. Any advice will be really appreciated. Thanks in advance

Sounds like the plug for your 2014 Dodge Durango is present but not active on your 2014 Dodge Durango. The only solution we'd have would be the Tekonsha 7-way part # TK22113 which wires into vehicle taillights and a few other places as well.
If there's a missing middle harness on your Durango to activate the wiring you found you'd only be able to find it at Dodge. Or the dealer may have to "activate" the wiring as well.
