The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs add up to 1,000 lbs of load-leveling support inside your existing rear coil springs. This helps your suspension hold the weight steady so your ride height stays level and your handling stays predictable. With even load distribution, your tires wear evenly, your headlights stay aimed right, and your overall safety on the road improves.
Every load is different, and these air springs let you fine-tune support to match. You can inflate or deflate each spring within a 5 psi to 35 psi range, maintaining normal ride height whether you’re towing a trailer or hauling gear. For uneven loads, dual air lines let you adjust each side separately to balance out off-center weight. Manual Schrader valves are included for simple control, or you can add a compressor system later for in-cab adjustment.
Rough roads and heavy trailers can cause sway and bounce that wear down both driver and suspension. These molded polyurethane air springs cushion the hit, absorbing road shock before it reaches the chassis. Exactly what I needed plug and play does what it's supposed to do and after 1 year of having it I'm satisfied.
Installed last night. Installation was simple and as described. This morning I checked pressures and system held overnight. This morning I loaded the trailer with some lumber and went for a drive. It was a small enclosed trailer so not real heavy but significant improvement when towing. The handling was like the trailer wasn’t connected and the ride was smooth. Even on bumpy county roads this system was noticeably better. Usually there was quite a bit of sway and movement on the county roads but with the bags, it was like I wasn’t even towing! For the price I would highly recommend.
Love this system! Very affordable and easy to install. One year on it doesn't leak - not even a little bit. Works great on our 2015 Durango to prevent the back end of the truck from squatting when towing our 23' boat. Highly recommend this system!!
Unfortunately there was a mix up with this order but was handled by etrailer to my satisfaction. I have installed a pair of Air Lift 1000 and they work great. They made a big change in how my Durango handles
Greatly improves handling on our 2017 Dodge Durango when towing our Travel Trailer. Installation was an ease. Curious to see how long the pnematic tubing clamps last in the New England salt during the Winter.
So far so good, install wasn't that difficult and the directions on the video were spot on. Haven't been able to make use of them yet for towing but they definitely help with body roll. Thanks
These are fantastic they make hauling my travel trailer easy.
We have been using the air lift on our 2021 Durango Citadel for a whole camping season and I can say that it has been a game changer for towing. As we only have a 17 foot travel trailer most of our gear goes in the back of the tow vehicle. With 30# of air in each our rig now tows straight and true. It takes very little air to get to 30# but the difference is amazing. I can't speak to installation as I had a mechanic friend install it but he said it was no problem. I had him install the fill valves pointed toward the ground under the rear bumper so that loading/unloading won't damage them. If they ever failed I would buy again immediately.
These air bags are supposed to handle 50 psi but one of the bags failed
Well made and was fairly easy to install. I actually found it was easier to drill a hole into the bottom cushion to run the air line instead of cutting it out. The instructions were very easy to follow. What took the most time was hooking up the hose. I split it into one and ran it out under the bumper on the passenger side. My Durango has dual exhaust so I had to run the tubing up under the body. No leaks after set up and work very well with my rv trailer. Highly recommend.
