Can I use the titan RP54977 with the same head that is attached to my RP54970

The Reese shank part # RP54977 fits quite a few Reese weight distribution systems but it does not fit any styles of WD system that use washers for head angle adjustment. So as long as yours does not use washers you'd be fine.
