Question:
Hi, I am interested in buying the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Straight Spindle - Off-Road Tires - 3,500 lbs Item # ASR35HDS01, or possibly the same kit with the 2inch lift. Can you recommend the appropriate hubs/drums and brake assembly? My trailer is roughly 2500lbs. Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension is offered with a straight spindle using part # ASR35HDS01 and a 2" lift spindle using part # TASR35HDS06. They both use the same brake mounting flanges but the bearings are different. The straight spindles use a 25580 inner/LM67048 outer bearing and the lift spindles use a 25580 inner/15123 outer bearing.
For a braking assembly on either spindle I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-7-SA which are self adjusting brakes that will not require continual adjustments for even pad wear after the initial setup. For a hub/drum assembly with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, I recommend using part # 8-201-5UC3-EZ for the straight spindles or part # 8-201-9UC3-EZ for the lift spindles.
