Hello, I have a 2024 Silverado 2500 HD truck with a 6foot 10inch medium size box. Sorry, to bother you but verifying if this is the correct model for me. My 5th wheel camper has the following specifications Dry weight 7,885 lbs Payload capacity 2,040 lbs GVWR 9,925 lbs Hitch Pin weight 1,655 lbs I have a companion 5 th wheel hitch but upgraded truck. It has the factory 5th wheel package with the puck system. Thank you

Hey Al, welcome back. You are on the right track here. The Replacement Base for B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVB3710 will drop directly into the puck system in your 2024 Silverado 2500 HD. All of the Companion hitches use the same head unit, so all you'll need is the new base for your new truck and you can re-use your old head unit. The hitch will have plenty of weight capacity for your 5th wheel, so no worries there.
One thing I did want to mention is this; typically for short bed trucks we recommend going with the sliding Companion hitch. The slider helps create more clearance between the 5th wheel and the cab on tight turns. It isn't necessarily required depending on what 5th wheel you have and whether or not it has a nose designed for short bed trucks. A lot of newer 5th wheels have curved noses which helps with the turning clearance.
The slider base is part # BWRVB3775 if you decide to go that route.

I ordered the wrong 5th wheel adapter for hookup to a gooseneck ball. The base goes to a flatbed truck. Can I get a base for a regular pickup truck. Short bed.
