Troubleshooting Factory Brake Controller on 2018 Dodge Ram That Is Not Working With Trailer Brakes

Question:

I have a 2018 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup and a trailer with Titan electric over hydraulic brakes. We cannot get them to work properly and I see a integral adapter for Ford and Chevrolet. Do I need the same thing for the factory brake controller on my 2018 Dodge Ram. Thanks.

I called the manufacturer and the newer model factory brake controllers are not registering your Titan electric over hydraulic brakes. This first started with Ford and Chevrolet factory brake controllers and so the Titan BrakeRite SD Adapter for Ford/Chevy Integral Brake Controllers, Item # T4845900, was developed. Since then, some new Dodge Rams have been doing the same thing. Item # T4845900 will work for your situation as well and should get everything working properly together once installed.
