Your trailer's wired right, but the brakes still won't fire. If your factory controller doesn't recognize your electric-over-hydraulic actuator, this adapter sends the signal it needs so the brakes activate, no rewiring required.
Electric-over-hydraulic brake setups can be fully wired and still fail if your truck doesn't detect your trailer. Many factory-installed brake controllers won't send voltage to the actuator unless the dashboard shows "Trailer Connected", even when everything is hooked up correctly. This adapter generates the signal those controllers need to confirm a connection and release braking power. It's a common issue with OEM setups from Ford, GM, and Ram, and it affects popular EOH systems from Deutsche Hydrapro, Hydrastar, and Dexter. If your brakes aren't responding and the dash says there's no trailer connected, this adapter solves it.
You don't have to rewire the truck or tap into the trailer plug. The adapter splices into the actuator wiring using included butt connectors. Once installed, the system runs normally with no setup changes at the controller.
Not required for vehicles with native EOH actuator compatibility. Designed only to resolve trailer detection errors on select OEM controllers. Does not modify actuator pressure or brake controller logic.

Hi, friends, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this Hydrapro CAM Adapter Module for your Dexter and Hydrastar electric-over-hydraulic actuators. Now, this adapter module is compatible with Gen 1 Deutsche Hydrapro, Hydrastar, and Dexter electric-over-hydraulic brake actuators. And as you probably know, this is going to allow your tow vehicle to recognize a trailer where your EOH is attached to your factory Ford, GMC or Chevy Brake Controller, and this is going to intercept and validate brake signal data to eliminate false error codes regarding connection errors of the trailer being disconnected. This will mount virtually anywhere, and it's going to splice into your actuator's wiring with the included butt connectors. And this adapter should not be used with trailers with electric brakes or brake controllers not made for an electric-over-hydraulic brake actuator.
And this electric-over-hydraulic compatibility adapter is designed to be implemented when enhanced trailer detection is required for the OEM built-in brake control is connected to the Deutsche Hydrapro EOH Brake Actuator. OEM brake controllers will not provide an output voltage to the trailer brakes unless the dashboard shows Trailer Connected, therefore this compatibility adapter has been designed to overcome this detection error. So, again, it includes everything that you see here, along with installation instructions. And I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
