Are Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters Needed on Tire Chains with Cams

Question:

Hello, I have a 2017 Ford F150 4x4. After going through your site, I decided to get the Titan snow chains with cams. With these chains, do i need the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster for Heavy Trucks ?? I am new to snow chains so I am not sure if the cams eliminate the need for the adjusters. Thank you

The short answer is "probably not". The rubber adjusters, part # TCMA3, likely aren't needed on tire chains tha that have cams. With that being said it depends on how tightly the chains you've picked out fit your tires and if all of the cams being tightened is enough. Sometimes chains are still a little loose after engaging all of the cams, in which case the rubber adjusters are needed.

The only way to know for sure is to fit the chains on your 2017 Ford F-150's tires and see if you need them to be tighter. However, if you can tell me the tire size you have on your truck I'll make a recommendation fo the best fit for you that may decrease the chance you need the adjusters.
