These chains not only come with V-bars; they also come with cam adjusters that make it extremely easy to tighten/fit the chains to your tires. The cams also provide continuous tightening during transport. With the cams, these chains cannot be used for off-roading. For tensioners, I recommend the # TCMA3 to take the headache out of having to adjust the chains after each trip.

If you are planning to use chains for off-roading, I recommend the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains for Wide Base Tires # TC3835. Since these chains do not have cams, you will be able to use them for off-road terrain. It is important to note that these chains come with thicker links than the # TC3835CAM (7mm compared to 5.5mm) so they will require slightly more wheel well clearance. For tensioners, the # TCMA3 are compatible with these chains as well.
