Can CE Smith Bunkboard Guide-On Kit # CE27600K75 be Installed on Trailer Cross Member

Question:
Can this post and bracket be mounted to the crossmember under the boat on the trailer and then mounted parallel on the crossmember? My trailer is wider than my boat.

It is possible to install CE Smith Bunkboard Guide-On Kit # CE27600K75 in the way you have suggested. But it may require trimming parts of the tubes should they interfere with the boat. The only part of the set up you would want to make contact with the boat is the carpeted bunk!
