The B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10048C that you referenced is a steel construction for strength, but it also has a dual-process chrome plating on the shank and hitch balls for excellent rust resistance.
The pins included with the ball mount are stainless steel which makes them sturdy and rustproof.
