Question:
Your C14012 for Ford Transit van. Does Ford Transit Van allow using a weight distribution load leveling hitch? I read on a forum that they did not.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - 2" # C11012 is a confirmed fit for 2015-2023 Ford Transit Van T150, T250, and T350 models. This hitch is rated for weight distribution system up to a 1,000 lb tongue weight and up to 10,000 lbs towing. Even though the hitch itself is rated for this, you will want to go by the manufacturer's limitations. I've attached a photo from Ford's towing guide to help determine your capacities based on engine and body style.
I've attached the link to all of your options for weight distribution systems. The correct system for your trailer will be based on the total tongue weight of your trailer which includes the complete loaded tongue weight of your trailer plus any cargo behind the rear axle of your Transit van. Ideally you want this total tongue weight to be in the middle of a system.
For your trailer wiring, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56327. This will give you the factory wiring that you could have received with the tow package, but in an aftermarket option.
If you let me know your loaded tongue weight of your trailer, and what cargo you may be carrying behind your rear axle, I'd be happy to give you a recommendation for a weight distribution system to go with this trailer hitch receiver.
