Troubleshooting P2 Wiring on 2006 Ford F-650 with Air Brakes and Commercial 7-Pin Trailer Connector

Question:
I have a 2006 F650 with air brakes and it has a factory trailer harness with a commercial 7 pin trailer connector. I ordered and installed a Tekonsha P2 and an Adapter to swap from 7 pin to 7 blade for an RV trailer. I ran the blue wire from the controller harness to the commercial connector and spliced at the 5 o’clock wire....looking at it from the front. This wire was yellow. I am not getting any indication of brake on the controller when the brakes are applied. I have the red wire tapped into the brake pressure switch. This works only because I know my third brake light activates with the same wire. What am I missing?

If you have the 7-pin heavy duty connector, you need to make sure the brake controller is on the center pin and not the 5 o'clock position like the 7-way RV standard. The 7-pin and the 7-blade have different locations for functions, that your adapter takes into account. You will want to add the P2 # 90885 output to the correct location. I've attached a photo to assist.
