Question:
Where do I take a truck camper when the airbags have failed? I no longer hear the compressor when attempting to inflate. A tire/alignment store, an auto mechanic? Firestone airbags

When the Firestone air spring are not working, there are a few things you can do before taking your vehicle to a mechanic. First, I think you have narrowed it down to a compressor issue because you are not hearing it attempt to inflate. It could be a power issue or it may be an issue with the compressor itself. I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to check for power from the battery to the unit and then from the gauge switch when you hit the inflate button, to see if it is a simple wiring issue. If not, I recommend replacing the unit with the Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Standard-Duty Compressor - Single Function - 130 psi # F2158.
If you are not comfortable checking it yourself, and auto mechanic you trust is the best route to go.
