The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with the most common bike racks, cargo carriers, and ball mounts. With a 4,500-lb maximum gross trailer weight and a 675-lb tongue weight, it’s ready for small trailers, road-trip cargo, and multiple bikes. It's common for the rear liftgate sensor to not work when trying to kick directly under the receiver, but it will still function if you kick your foot to either side of the side of the hitch receiver tube. Does your sensor not work even when trying from either side of the receiver?
