Question:
I have Neo all aluminum trailer with a V-nose on it. It is 2400lbs and loaded will never be more than 4500lbs. The V-nose starts 29inch from the front of the coupling. As you can see in the pic there is no open tongue framing. Does it make sense to get something like FA94-00-0600 or RP66558 and bolt them to the V-nose frame work instead of clamping them to the open frame work on a box trailer? Or does it make sense to get a pole-tounge adapter such as EQ95-01-5950 and place it right were the tongue pole and V meet? or do you recommend any other products. Thanks for any advice.

Since you do not have any frame space on which to attach sway-control brackets, I do recommend going with the Pole-Tongue Adapter # EQ95-01-5950 referenced in your question. This will let you mount the weight distribution system on your trailer tongue and can be positioned 27 to 32 inches back from the hitch ball.
I have included an image that gives you a better idea as to how this will work.
Then for the actual weight distribution system, we will first want to take an estimate of your setup's total tongue weight. This includes both the loaded tongue weight of the trailer along with any added cargo weight coming from behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. A trailer's tongue weight should be 10-15% of its total weight. With this in mind, we can use the loaded weight of your trailer (4,500 pounds) to estimate a loaded tongue weight of 450 to 675 pounds.
The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System # FA94-00-0800 should work great for your setup. This system has a tongue weight capacity of 400 to 800 pounds and features 2 integrated points of sway control to limit side-to-side movement. It is compatible with the above mentioned tongue adapter and the adjustable shank is included. You will just need to add a hitch ball like the 2 inch # A-90 or the 2-5/16 inch # 63840.
Lastly, I recommend making sure that your particular trailer is approved and rated for a weight distribution system, as some aluminum trailers are not.
I have attached a video demonstration and the installation details on this system that you can also check out.
