Installing Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System on Boat Trailer with Straight Tongue
Question:
How do I attach this to my boat trailer? Its a typical 3 axle EZLoader trailer with a long single tongue that has a 2and5/16 ball coupler, electric over hydraulic brake pump then a heavy duty trailer jack installed in front of the winch stand. Then the 2 sides of the trailer connect to the tongue. Im pretty sure the torsion bars arent long enough to reach the trailer frame rails.

In order to install the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37140ET on your EZ Loader Trailer that features a single straight tongue, you will need to use the Pole-Tongue Adapter # EQ95-01-5950. This adapter is specifically designed for trailers like yours to provide mounting points for the L-brackets and spring bars for a weight distribution system.
This will fit trailer tongue widths of 1" to 5" and tongue heights of 2" to 5". I have attached a short video review of the adapter along with an image of it installed just so you can get a better idea as to how it works.
