Motorcycle Trailer Tire Air Pressure Required
Published 10/05/2017 >
Question:
I asked a question about tire pressure yesterday and you responded quickly and I thank you. However I gave you the wrong tire size. The correct tire size is 5.30x12. I am thinking of purchasing new Kenda tires and wonder if the tire pressure can be reduced in these tire to stop the center from wearing out so fast. Thank you for your extra efforts and quick response.

Helpful Expert Reply:
If your motorcycle trailer has ST (special trailer) tires, then they are made to be run at the max psi. If they do not have this ST distinction, then you most likely can run them at a slightly lower tire pressure. I recommend confirming with the manufacturer of your tires as we don't carry any tires that size. I wouldn't go with anyone else's advice as it could be a safety issue for you and/or others.
