Recommended Replacement for Carrier AirV Air Conditioning System

Question:

RV rooftop AC units. Do you have a ducted unit that can replace my old carrier AIR V unit and some kind of adapter kit so I can still utilize my carrier remotes ducting and ceiling portion?

We do have a selection of ducted RV air conditioners available, such as the Atwood Air Command # AT15028-22. I have also attached a link that will take you to our selection that you can look through.

This unit is designed for RVs that have a duct system and includes a wireless remote control that will let you conveniently change the settings. This air conditioner also features a heat pump that can pull warm air in from outside to heat up your RV during chilly nights. This is due to a unique reversing valve that converts the cooling powers into an efficient heating system. This unit will include the ceiling vent, wall-mount thermostat, wireless remote and the necessary wiring.

There is not currently an adapter available for this system.

I currently own a Carriage Cameo 2008 with a Carrier V Model# 68RV14113A A/C unit that is on the blink. I've checked all the capacitors and have run out of ideas. This has a remote control along with a heat pump. Do you have something that would work to replace this with, keeping my remote control feature as there are no wires going down the walls for a thermostat. I don't need the heat pump feature if i can get away with out it.

The Advent Air # ACCAR150 will work great to replace your existing Carrier AC unit. The included adapter allows for a simple installation and you'll be able to keep using your existing remote.

@ChrisR I have the same situation and have installed the Advent ACM150 using the ACCARKIT adapter cable. Install was a breeze but after powering back up the A/C ran for a few minutes and stopped. It then started flashing an error code. Green light, four flashes. No function will work now. Has anyone else had this happen? Advice?

@JerryD I reached out to my contact at ASA electronics and he said that it sounds like the light is on the Carrier side of your AC unit since the Advent components don't have lights. He said you'll need to reach out to a service shop and have it looked at since they don't have diagnostics for the Carrier end of things.
