Updated 08/01/2020 | Published 09/25/2017 >
Question:
I have the BWRVK3270 5th wheel slider hitch. I see all of the other areas to be lubricated, do the slider rods need to be lubricated? If so what should be used.

I spoke with my contact at B&W who confirmed that the slider rods on the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270 do need to be lubricated after they are clean.
You will also want to lubricate the top surface of the coupler, grease the saddle, and grease the jaws as per the Helpful Tips section in your instructions.

B&W says they don't need to be lubricated. But, I called and asked if they could be lubricated and was told yes. Use White Lithium. When I first started using my slider, without lube, it sounded like the whole thing was failing. The screech of the unlubricated rods was heard by the entire campground.
