Insulation to Use with B and W Rail Kit in Aluminum Bed of 2024 Ford F-350

Question:

Do I need any special bolts or isolating pads to use this rail kit in a Ford aluminum bed? Thanks, Dan

Hey Daniel, so while we don't have any isolators we can sell with the B and W rail kit part # BWRVK2402 I can still help. When we install kits like this on aluminum bed trucks we use landscaping plastic between the bed and the rails to provide that isolation for an easy way that is cheap and works well.

@DanB No but if you wanted to you could use the plastic to isolate between the washers and the bed.

@JamesonC Do you have more info on which plastic you’re using? I’m assuming an HDPE but what thickness? Thank You

@BrentB Hey Brent. The polypropylene isolating tape came with BWRVR 2402 under bed mounting brackets, which mated to BWRVR 3210 above bed rails. Hope this helps. Dan B
