Curt vs Draw Tite Front Hitch for Motorcycle Carrier for 2017 Ram Megacab 3500

Question:

Follow up to my previous question... My vehicle does have tow hooks so I could go with the Draw Tite but it looks like that would place the Rage motorcycle carrier much higher than the Curt. This might worsen visibility significantly. It also seems like it would make loading the bike much more difficult. Can you give me your opinion on this? Thank you.

My contact at Curt advised their front hitch # C31067 will still fit on trucks that have the factory tow hooks. The Draw-Tite option # 65063 installs with the receiver tube in the existing opening at the grille, but the Curt installs under the front air dam as shown in the linked instructions. If you do not mind the more-involved install this Curt hitch will provide a lower receiver height for use with the carrier.
