How can I hook up and aftermarket brake controller on a 2014 f-350 that has a factory brake controller with out getting a fault on the dash display.

On your 2014 Ford F-350, using an aftermarket brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 is the best way to go. It will give you a far superior brake controller to the factory integrated option, and is able to connect using a simple harness like # 3034-P.

To get the dash display to stop showing an error and for proper function, you need to go to your local Ford dealer and have them disable the TBC. I've attached an article to assist.
