As long as the spare of your 2014 Toyota Highlander isn't aluminum the Curt hitch part # C13200 will fit with it and work well. I attached a picture of the hitch installed with a spare mounted as well.

The picture shows a full-sized spare that is NOT aluminum. If yours looks like that this would work well with it.
