Will B&W Companion Hitch Clear a Toolbox in a 2014 Ram 2500 with Factory Prep Package

will this hitch work in my 2014 ram with pucks short bed with a 20inch high rise tool box? not big on slider hitches thanks mike p.

The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs Item # BWRVK3600 does fit the factory prep package on your 2014 Ram 2500 short bed. The toolbox should not be a problem. The handle that operates the jaws on the hitch does not go beyond the pucks the hitch fits in. So as long as your toolbox does not hangover the pucks you won't have an issue.
You mentioned you don't like slider hitches but depending on the trailer design and width it is possible that when you turn the trailer pin box could hit the toolbox or, even worse, the trailer could make contact with the truck cab. If you want to reconsider the slider version that fits your truck is # BWRVK3670.
