If your 3500 lb axles have a brake flange, the upgrade will be easy. If not, you will need to have a professional welder help you install the flange using the appropriate jigs for location and Brake Mounting Flange for 2-3/8" Round Axle # 4-35.
For brake assemblies, I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA for each axle. You will also need to run wires like # 10-1-1 for your brake magnets to connect the brake controller output wire through your trailer connector and then ground the other side of the magnet to your trailer frame. I recommend using the 7-Way Molded Trailer Plug with Junction Box # HS381-9000 along with ring terminals # 44-5310A to make this an easy conversion.
For a break away kit, I recommend the Engager Trailer BreakAway Kit with Charger and Tester # 20099. Having all the charging and testing integrated is a really nice feature to make things easier.
For your hubs/drums, I recommend the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3,500-lb Axles - 10" Diameter - 5 on 4-1/2 # AKHD-545-35-K. If you have different bearings than this kit which is standard size for 3500 lb axles, let me know and we can see what is a confirmed fit in that specific case.
For a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 because it is a proportional controller that is easy to understand. There is an LCD screen that takes code deciphering out of the equation and there are 3 simple preset boost options. For your 1994 C/K series truck, you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7. I've attached a video to assist. If you don't have a 4-way, I recommend the Tekonsha 4-Pole Hardwire Kit with Circuit Tester # 18252 to get started.
I've attached a couple of article to assist with bolt pattern and adding electric brakes to assist.
