Can Demco HiJacker be Switched Back and Forth from a Ford to a Chevy Truck w/Factory Prep Packages

Question:

Will a hitch you buy for a ford be motified to fit a chevy both with factory hook ups

The puck spacing between the Ford and Chevy factory prep packages is not the same so you would have to replace some parts of the 5th wheel hitch when switching from one to the other. And not to make any more confusing the puck spacing is different between the short and long beds of the Chevy/GMC trucks.

In order to use Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 18,000 lbs Item # DM8550034 with the Chevy truck though you would need adapter # DM6194.

Then to get the hitch to fit the Ford factory prep package you would just need Replacement Side Plates for Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Ford Super Duty Item # DM6033. These 3 parts are all you would need to be able to use the hitch in both a Ford and Chevy short bed truck with the factory prep package.
